Build a Home
“Those who in charity spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public, have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve” (2:274)
Bangladesh's housing crisis shows that 5 million people are homeless and 124 million people (74 percent of the population) live in mud houses and slums, as revealed by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics. Most of the homeless victims are due to river erosion. Over the last two decades, Al-Madeenah Islamic Society has strived to support destitute families by providing them with sustainable homes.
Al-Madeenah Islamic Society is actively constructing durable houses that offer a refuge for families living in challenging conditions. These homes are constructed using steel and cement pillars and a tin roof, providing protection against harsh weather conditions. Each of these houses is designed to accommodate a single family, typically consisting of 5 to 7 individuals. The cost to build one house is remarkably affordable at just £2000, covering all necessary materials and labor. Each home will feature essential living spaces, including a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
